Mission Statement

Excel King is a blog focussed on delivering tips, tricks and workshops on all aspects of Microsofts premier spreadsheet solution. We want you to be excellent in Excel!

With this mission statement in mind, I try to give you all the tools and processes you need to be good, no ... excellent in Microsoft Excel.

What I want to achieve is that people visiting this blog frequently will no longer freeze when asked to create a spreadsheet with more than basic columns and rows. I will try to enable you over time to create sophisticated solutions in MS Excel not only because this software is capable of doing incredible things (already with its standard functionality not to speak of programming) but also to give you the self insurance to develop, maintain and share high-end calculation models of top level complexity.

I will talk about enhancing your charts, what things to do (and maybe to ask the users) to make sure development of complex calculation models will be successful, design, dashboarding etc. etc. During 2010 we will have not only a great workshop with a very systematic approach on how to create a managment dashboard (for FREE!) but I will also start to write about VBA, this fascinating programming language which will push your Excel knowledge to whole new levels.
