Rules for the Excel-King.com Forums

Everywhere when people come together - may it be in real or virtual life - there must be some rules that need to be accepted by everyone. The same applies to this forum therefore here you can find the rules I have defined for the usage of this message board:

1. Please do not overpromote yourself

Please mention, that this forum is mainly focussed on discussion of Excel topics. Although it may be okay to mention your website here and there (i. e. once in your signatgure) the moderators and users of this forum don't want to see it misused as a advertising platform. Please note that any kind of affiliate linking whether in your signature or in your posts is definitely not allowed.

2. Please take care of your language

This forum is in english. Although it might be doubted that very much children visit this forum, I want to keep it family friendly. Therefore any harmful words may lead to banning users. If a intention of no positive contribution towards this blog topics combined with an combative attitude and tone - known as trolling - may also lead to banning users.

3. Please do not attack other people and / or their posts

This rule wants to make sure that you know the difference between a passionate or respectful discussions and delving into personal attacks. We are talking about topics and issues here not about persons.

4. Please know that Admins and Mods have the final word

If you feel that you are treated in an unfair way, want to complain about things etc. please contact an admininstrator or moderator. Please don't post to the boards! Instead of posting please use the personal messaging system or the contact form of Excel-King.com. Nevertheless, admins and mods ALWAYS have the final word.

5. Please make sure that you post into the correct categories

If you are unsure what category or forum to place your posts into please only select one. All posts and forums are monitored by moderators and administrators. If a post is published to the wrong category, it will be moved by a moderator.

6. Please make sure that you have an appropriate signature

If you would like to use the signature feature of this forum, please make sure that it's appropriate. Usually an approapriate signature contains some or all of the following:

• Name, Nickname
• Email
• Website
• Favorite quote or saying

Please note that excessive font-size is not allowed in your signature.

7. Please only register once

Make sure that you only register once to Excel-King.com. The registration for the website also is valid as a registration for the forum. In case you forget your password, there is a function within this forum that enables you to retrieve it.

8. Warnings and Ban

If a user excessively infringes upon these rules, he or she will be warned by an admin or a moderator. If there is still no change in the behaviour, the user will get banned completely. It may occur that a users behaviour is so extreme and attacking the whole community that he or she will be banned without a warning. The same rules as in no. 4 apply here: Admins and moderators have the final word.
